Highlights from the second Twenty20 match between India and the West Indies: Brandon King's half-century and Devon Thomas's decisive blow followed Obed McCoy's historic six-wicket haul to give the West Indies their first-ever victory against India at home. It was the first match since 2019 that the hosts have triumphed against India at home in the game's shortest format. Despite facing a modest 139-run target, the Indian bowlers were able to extend the game until the last over. For the whole of their innings, West Indies appeared to be headed for an easy victory.

However, the close proximity of the falls of Nicholas Pooran and Shimron Hetmyer as well as the set by Brandon King placed pressure on the hosts. Then, in the 20th over, wicketkeeper-batter Devon Thomas helped them over the finish line with a four and a six. As India lost for just 138 runs earlier, McCoy had statistics of 6/17, the greatest by a West Indies bowler in T20Is.

Deandra Dottin retires from international cricket The West Indian all-rounder Deandra Dottin has declared her retirement from international cricket.
